SSL Automation

Administration & Monitoring

A dashboard for all certificates, servers, and users. View status, receive alerts and control access without logging into every server.

Certificate Overview

See all certificates in one place: domain, issuer, expiry date, renewal history, and current status. Filter and search across the entire organisation.

Client Monitoring

See when each ACME client last contacted the server. If a client doesn't check in within the expected period, you receive an alert.

User Management

Create multiple users with roles and permissions. Decide who can order, renew, and manage certificates, and who only has read access.

Expiry Alerts

Receive email alerts 28 and 7 days before certificates expire. A safety net that catches failures in automatic renewal.

Audit Log

Full history of who requested, renewed, and installed which certificate, and when. Critical for compliance and troubleshooting.

Multi-organisation

Manage certificates for multiple organisations, subsidiaries, or departments from a single login. Separate billing and access control per entity.

Certificate Reuse: One Certificate, Many Servers

Do you have the same domain running on multiple servers, e.g., behind a load balancer, in a cluster, or with staging/production environments? You don't need to buy a certificate per server.

With FairSSL ACME, the certificate is managed centrally. When renewed, your ACME client automatically distributes it to all servers using it. You pay for the certificate, not the number of installations.

Scenario Competitors FairSSL
1 SAN certificate (www, api, mail), 5 servers 5 licenses 1 certificate
1 SAN certificate, 20 servers behind a load balancer 20 licenses 1 certificate
1 wildcard, 25 servers 25 licences 1 certificate

We sell certificates, not licenses per server. One certificate covers all servers it is installed on. With FairSSL ACME the fee is charged per main certificate, and one fee covers up to 25 servers.

Frequently Asked Questions About Administration

Can I see certificates from multiple organisations in the same dashboard?
Yes. With multi-organisation support, you can manage certificates for subsidiaries, departments, or customers from one login. Each organisation has its own billing and user management.
How do expiry alerts work?
You receive an email 28 and 7 days before the certificate expires. For automated certificates this is a safety net: if automatic renewal fails, you are told in time.
Does it require a special agreement to use electronic invoicing?
No. Simply enter your EAN/GLN number when creating your account or contact our support. We send electronic invoices directly to your billing system: no paper, no manual processes.

Certificates on many servers and appliances

A publicly trusted SSL certificate can be valid for at most 199 days now, 99 days by 15 March 2027 and 46 days by 15 March 2029. Each certificate then has to be replaced at least twice a year now and at least eight times a year from 2029, on every server, firewall and load balancer that uses it. sslbrain from FairSSL runs as an appliance in your own network and renews and installs the certificates from one place, including on devices without an agent.
